SUSTAINABILITY
At Olé Lighting we are committed to sustainability. We have been on this path for years, striving to be a sustainable, conscious and responsible company. We have followed a strategy based on extending the philosophy of sustainability in every area of the company, from our internal processes to design.
It is important to remember that sustainability does not only encompass actions aimed at protecting the planet. It is also about economic and social aspects. Sustainability is everything that improves life itself, which is why at Olé we try to deal with as many aspects as possible and carry out actions that, however small they may be, make a change.

Under this slogan we focus one of our most ambitious sustainable projects. Our cord collections will from now on be made of polyester made from recycled plastic bottles collected from the sea and our environment.
Following the line of last year, we estimate that we can remove more than 4 tons of plastic from our environment with our cord lamps. In Olé Lighting we intend in this way to contribute to the reduction of this material in the environment, reusing it by incorporating it in products that have a long useful life.

As mentioned above, sustainability also encompasses economic and social aspects.
Olé collaborates every year with different NGOs making annual contributions, as well as organising solidarity campaigns at Christmas, where we donate a percentage of the profits obtained on those dates.
We have collaborated with different organisations such as "Médicos del Mundo", "OXFAM Intermón", "Malembe" and "Creer en ellas". All of them carry out actions aimed at improving the health and education of people in different parts of the world who have no resources.
We strongly support and believe in equal rights and opportunities. In addition, we advocate respect for personal life without prejudice.
We have a workforce made up of 60% women,
occupying positions in different areas and with different responsibilities:
product design and development, assembly, customer service, marketing...
Also, one of
the NGOs we collaborate with, "Creer en ellas”, directs its efforts to
respond to a daily reality of violence and vulnerability suffered by young
women and adolescents in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

We commission external work to "Tomás de Osma Occupational Centres".
These centres provide
users who have an intellectual functional diversity in working age with
Comprehensive Enabling and/or Rehabilitative Care, with the aim of
achieving the highest possible levels of autonomy, well-being and inclusion, as
they have difficulties in integrating into a special employment centre or
ordinary company.
The Tomás de Osma centres are managed by ALCER Turia through a concerted action with the Generalitat Valenciana.
